Gang Beasts! (part 1)

Once again we were plagued by technical difficulties. However, unlike the real world where a small glitch could cause your spaceship to explode and kill everyone aboard. In our case it just means we have to play more video games and try to get it right this time.

No problem.

Gang Beasts is what we played with our buddy Jason but we had to play a previous version because the recent versions weren’t working over Steam Link. I suppose we could have figured it out, but that would have felt like work. No time for that!

If you haven’t played this game, go get it. It’s hilarious and you can play with lots of people. I think at least 8.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime Contest (and part 2 of the episode)

So, we had some setbacks with this episode. In my grief over David Bowie (and also my ego to show myself as David Bowie 15 years ago), I accidentally deleted all of our footage except for the gameplay. But, we had already announced the contest, so we re-recorded our video as sportscaster commentators instead. I think it came out pretty well.

Hidden in this video is a link that starts the contest to win a copy of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. If you are the first person to find the final video and leave a YouTube comment there, we will buy you the game. But, good luck, getting started is going to be hard.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

We finally got the recording configuration set up the way we like it. The bonuses are many:

We can play from the couch
Our stupid heads aren’t in our own way in the game
The camera makes us look amazingly attractive

The downside is that the camera shuts off after about 12 minutes of video. So, we have to look into other options there.

With our new setup we decided to play Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime on a friend’s recommendation. Turns out that this game freaking rules! It’s two-player cooperative and you both run around inside of a space ship manning the different stations (navigation, pilot, gunner, shields, etc). It’s like a cute version of Space Nerds in Space, which is also an amazing game.

You might notice a link in the video (when the Dr. Hopsy-Flopsy talks about the west ventricle) that allows you to donate to Doctors Without Borders. You should probably do that, right? I mean, it’s not like a million people will watch our video, but if even one of you donate then it means Jerry and I haven’t been wasting our time making these silly videos.

Rocket League Online 3v3 (with DAVE!)

So, we made Dave play a bunch of games that he wasn’t super stoked on. So, when he expressed actual interest in playing Rocket League, we felt like we owed him that much. Then Jerry babbled on and on about Selena Gomez and, long story short, it’s possible that we’ll never see Dave again.
