We are back again, and this time with more of our Weird Paul cover band, The Paulettes. You see, Jerry and I wanted to mess around with mattes in Premiere. We also still needed to record a video for our cover of “Maybe You’ll Find Some in the Garbage”.

Hello two birds, meet one stone.

This was a blast to make and even more fun to edit. I can’t wait to do more stuff like this in the future and hopefully we can do it with more sophistication. One thing I did realize is that if you want to do this sort of thing, doing it outside on a sunny day is pretty tough. The shadows are MURDER to edit around. We did our best and I tried to distract the viewer with random titles and nonsense to make it less jarring.

So, Jerry and I have a lot of stuff going on right now. Lots of exciting stuff will soon be flying out of the Adventures in Nerdery pipe. Um… let’s pretend I didn’t say that last bit. Anyway, we have TONS of editing right now and sometimes that can’t weigh heavy on your spirits (even if you are soulless robots like we are). What do you need to turn it all around? That’s right! Weird Paul!

I discovered Weird Paul a few weeks ago (and about 20 years too late). I think it’s safe to say that I’m completely obsessed. So, we did what anyone else would do and we formed a Weird Paul tribute band called The Paulettes. Here’s our video for This Guy’s Gone a Bone Disease

Look, I realize that it looks like we just dick around and slap stuff together. But, I can assure you that being a famous YouTube celebrity is very hard work. Aside from the tennis elbow, janky wrist and crippling diarrhea (of Jerry’s mouth) we have to put in long hours and tweak the video in the editing room until it’s just right. Is anyone buying that?
